At The Virtual Hub we give each of our VA’s 12 days of paid leave per year which is funded by us and not by the client.
Also, we are officially closed for only 5 days of the year:
– Christmas Day (25th December)
– Boxing Day (26th December)
– New Years Day (1st January)
– Holy Thursday
– Good Friday
This leave is already factored into your monthly billing fee so please see the ‘Fee Calculations’ Page for more detail there.
Paid Leave Policy:
Paid Leave can be used for annual leave, days off, Filipino Public Holidays, sick leave, moving house, family needs or any other reason someone may need to take time off.
We do not distinguish between paid leave and sick leave at The Virtual Hub.
Procedure for applying for paid leave:
We only grant paid leave days if you as the client agree to the specific day(s) requested in writing.
Step 1: Your VA applies for the leave internally using our leave application process – detailing type of leave, days, dates, reasons etc.
Step 2: We will send you a leave request email with a button to approve OR reject the leave request. All you have to do is hit the button of your choice and our systems take care of the rest.
Step 3: We will send you a reminder email the day before the leave to remind you it is happening.
In this way, you can deny paid leave if the VA is critical to your business on those specific days.
We require a minimum of 4 days notice for paid leave to be booked and signed off but in the event of illness of course this cannot be a firm rule.
If you would to offer your VA Gift Leave we can also facilitate that gesture. Many clients like to give Gift Leave as a birthday bonus or around Christmas time.
We can facilitate this for them via our leave approval process the same as the other leave types. Please arrange it with your VA and then they can let us know what approval to send you for signing.
